Seven-day plan
Free 7-Day Jaw-Friendly Meal Plan
Seven days of softer, moist, lower-chew breakfasts, lunches and dinners, with all 21 recipes and a printable shopping list. Still proper meals rather than purée. Free to use, print and keep — written for jaws that hurt, not for difficulty swallowing, which is a different problem with different advice.
Topic
Jaw-friendly cooking
Real meals made mechanically easier to eat when chewing hurts. That is a texture and eating-mechanics job rather than swallowing (dysphagia) guidance, and it is not a treatment for TMD itself.
Guide
Stop shopping for soft food and start reading what a meal asks your jaw to do
Texture labels compress at least six separate demands into one word. Bite width, mouth opening, force, repetition, moisture and cling are all adjustable, and most of them yield to a knife.
Guide
Soft food for a sore jaw arrives without an end date. It needs one.
Soft food is standard self-care advice for a painful jaw. It arrives without an end date, and the version of it that quietly becomes permanent has never been studied by anyone.
Guide
The nutritional risk of a painful jaw is not what you eat, it is how much you stop eating
When chewing costs effort, meals end early long before food groups disappear. The total falls first and quietly, while almost all the advice on offer is aimed at the second problem.

This cookbook is practical food and texture support for people whose jaw hurts or will not open far. It does not diagnose temporomandibular disorder, promise pain relief, or replace dental, medical or physiotherapy care. It is not written for difficulty swallowing, which is a separate condition called dysphagia and is assessed and managed clinically; softer food is not automatically safer to swallow. If you are under a clinician’s plan, follow theirs.
